Icom Adjustment software question
#96930 (In Topic #83948)
i cant currently add a pic. but pics are easily found on goooogle.
any help will be appreciated, sensible answers tho please.
usually, itīs to define the transmit-power to the depending (user-switchable hi or low) level.
what would happen if…?
the radio will change itīs transmit-power and itīs current while transmitting,
for sure, connect a pwr-meter and look.
did this help?
The radios were sold to me as being 5watt rf output. And i saw this while fiddling so naturally became curious.
I dont doubt the company as i have used them many times.
I think ill take your suggestion and get an rf meter
i just did this adjustment on my IC-F51. a bit different usage, but same effect and it has 3 values for adjustment (high,low1,low2). in that case itīs on you, which one has which power. so on "default" high, with nothing shown on the display, i made 1,5W, low1 (the next at pressing power-button on the radio) 0,1W and low2 4,5W (shown on display).
…just for someone who liked to know…
wonīt miss my gp300īs, too.
…and the loveley visar and my everyday 380…
donīt ask for worst case. i got an impressive phantasie UHA! did i write 51? its an IC-F61! just for protocol
