I am having trouble unlocking my uv9dplus wouxon .. downloaded ok but radio won’t connect. With red cable… keeps saying radio failed to connect… radio is brand new… dropped my last one and did not know how my frontier coworkers unlocked it so I could transmit on out (USFS) frequencies vhf … now I can’t get it to work… also bought a laptop with windows 11… not sure if that’s the problem or not… any help out there??? Thanks so much matt

You're going to scoff, but try pushing in the cable harder into the radio. Had a very similar experience, and it turned out to be the cable not being seated well.

I am having same issue - I tried pushing in the cable, also tried pulling it out a bit, no luck.

I can use CHIRP and can read/write the radio OK, but need to change the limits as it is set for EU frequency limits and I need USA.

Thanks, Stan AE0LM

I got a new Wouxun red cable and same action as previous cable.  I can read and write using Wouxon software or CHIRP, but the unlock software, "KG-UV9D Frq Limit.exe" does not work.  When I run it, the radio screen goes black for a second and then it goes through reset screen.  Program pops up a window that states "Failed connection!  Please check if powered ON or well connected the com port!"  I have tried ensured the cable is plugged in completely (it was) then tried pulling it out slightly.  No help.  Wouxun no help either.  Thanks - Stan
