KPG-D1N is a totally different beast. Not sure at all if it can be shared. It goes and verifies itself with Kenwood online that you have purchased a legit license and then enables the software to work. Plus it's bloated and veryyyyyy slow. Not one of KW's finer developments……. but it "is" keeping the sharing down.
i know that kenwood have different security features to the latest software .but never say never .trick and trade match box in business.some one will find away better believe it.and yes it can be shared if you want .i have version 2.30 and 2.40.if wants no problem .it is up to him
0the early software was bad and it has gotten a little better it is the same boat as the nx-3000 series radios and the kpg-d3n software it is a pain to get activated and ya it will be best to just buy the software due to the long complicated processes to activate it
