Looking for someone that may be able to help find somewhere to purchase this software for wide band

Kenwood does not offer the software in wideband.  Unless you find a way to modify the software for wideband then you are out of luck.

I have bad news. Just found out that you have to buy a licence for the software and then it registers in Japan on their server your MAC adresss. So that means you cannot use same licence on different PCs. Sorry guys. All new software for Kenwoods are going to be like that now. Same for the NX5000 series.

This is all new software and they are going to apply it to all other new software. If you can find it let me know. Thanx

This apply to the 3000 series the 5000 series and the new nxr-5000 series repeaters along with a hand full of other software that is out now and i have been checking around and unless you can spoof the server on there end it may be software that will need to be end of life and no longer supported before it gets hacked and that will be possibly be 5-20 years before that may happen so far Kenwood has it locked up tight fort knox

KPG-D3 is for wideband and KPG-D3N is narrow.

no kpg-d3n is the only software for the 3000 series radios just like there is only a kpg-d1n for the 5000 series Kenwood has changed the way that they do licensing it is more like going from a dealer license to a engineering license now you dont change software you change the key. when they sell a wide band key it is the same software. all the key dose is unlocks extra features, and also the KPG-D3N WILL DO WIDE BAND IN THE HAM BAND I JUST TRIED IT with just a regular key. now on the other hand the kpg-d1n for the 5000 series radios dose have a wide and narrow key. If you want to use the 5000 series radios in the ham band on wide band go out and buy the kpg-d1n wide band key if you want to use the 3000 series radio on ham band use the normal kpg-3dn key. also there is no hacked ver. of this software and the keys work on one computer that's it so no sharing the keys any more sadly. :(
