no kpg-d3n is the only software for the 3000 series radios just like there is only a kpg-d1n for the 5000 series Kenwood has changed the way that they do licensing it is more like going from a dealer license to a engineering license now you dont change software you change the key. when they sell a wide band key it is the same software. all the key dose is unlocks extra features, and also the KPG-D3N WILL DO WIDE BAND IN THE HAM BAND I JUST TRIED IT with just a regular key. now on the other hand the kpg-d1n for the 5000 series radios dose have a wide and narrow key. If you want to use the 5000 series radios in the ham band on wide band go out and buy the kpg-d1n wide band key if you want to use the 3000 series radio on ham band use the normal kpg-3dn key. also there is no hacked ver. of this software and the keys work on one computer that's it so no sharing the keys any more sadly.
