Needed: iCOM m88 programming cable

Post

Where to buy?

I've done a little bit of snooping around and the only cables I can find to program our m88 radios are cheap Chinese junk. At least, that's what the reviews have indicated. Any idea where I can purchase the original cables, or at least a cable of good solid construction?

I just downloaded the m88 programming software off this site (I am blown away by the resources available on this site, by the way! This site is bookmarked!), but the trouble is going to be finding a good quality comm cable for it. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I was somehow not surprised to see a $100+ price tag on that cable ha. Grainger's got it for $240

Thanks for the head's up! Saves me a solid $120, if no one else has any other suggestions as to any other high-quality aftermarket option… I'll probably just have to fork it out

just find a opc-966u cable with a FTDI chipset
the polific chipset is the one that has driver problems
should be able to find one on ebay or amazon for around $20

I've had issues with aftermarket cables. Bricked my fair share of radios.. won't be doing that again. It's for work, so we can fork out the extra cash it will take to make sure I don't brick our $200 handhelds.
